The Parkinson’s Alliance of the Lower Eastern Shore is a group of people with a vested interest in Parkinson’s Disease and those it affects here on the Delmarva Peninsula. After being diagnosed in June of 2008 our founder was in search of a support group for those residents of the Shore battling Parkinson’s. Upon discovering that there were currently no groups on the Lower Shore he began the process of trying to establish a non-profit entity to serve those in our area battling this disease with support, education, advocacy within the medical community, educators and many other groups. After much success and getting the “word out”  In the early summer of 2009 our director, with limited resources, no apparent successor, physical limitations and a second grandchild on the way, was forced to put efforts on hold and hope for resources locally to develop from seeds planted while taking a break.

In the mean time it is our commitment to these seeds coming to fruition that will keep this website as a point of contact and resource for those on the Delmarva Peninsula battling Parkinson’s Disease. Look for new links and information coming February 2010
